| https://gamemaster.gameshare.co/ I find this method to be way better than Tunngle/Game Ranger/whatever. All you have to do for PC is either download the modified executable or hex edit the exe and replace "gamespy.com" with "gamespy.onl". You don't need to run a separate program in the background or have to get someone to give you their IP, it runs just like Gamespy did.It seems to support a decent number of games, but here's the best ones (of course):
Star Wars Battlefront 1 PC
Star Wars Battlefront 2 PC
Star Wars Battlefront 1 PS2 (Doesn't work for me)
Star Wars Battlefront 2 PS2
Star Wars Battlefront: Renegade Squadron PSP
Star Wars Battlefront: Elite Squadron PSP (German DNS)
To play online on PS2, just set your DNS to one of theirs. This works for me with SWBF2 but not SWBF1.To play online on PSP, set your DNS to either Gamemaster DNS. Renegade Squadron servers show up in their Master Server list as SWBFFFPSP but it all works. This method also works with ES but unlike RS, you need to use the German DNS and not the US DNS.Anyone else want to play SWES with me? I've just tested it using a new PSP console that I bought to replace my broken one (and sadly, the one I usually used for ES, I did occasionally use the other on ES/RS though) and it works! Oddly, hosted servers show up as dedicated servers. :S

| Yeah it unfortunately doesn't work with ES, but at least RS works. I know most of FGN are bigger fans of ES, but I sort of enjoyed RS more so it doesn't bother me as much as it should.
Maybe I should post a topic on their forum and see if they can get it working?

| Update: I've posted a request for SWES on their forums. Hopefully it'll be added soon. :) Also the US DNS works now, so you don't need to use the German DNS to get online on PSP anymore. In addition.... I looked at their source and although I don't understand anything, I found this bit of text very interesting: - Code:
-
Star Wars Battlefront 3 Automatch (PC) swbfront3pcam y3AEXC Star Wars Battlefront 3 Automatch (PS3) swbfront3pcCam y3AEXC Star Wars Battlefront 3 (PC) swbfront3pc y3AEXC Star Wars Battlefront 3 (PS3) swbfront3ps3 y3AEXC Star Wars: Battlefront 3 Automatch (PSP) swbf3pspam U8yNSx Star Wars: Battlefront 3 (PSP) swbf3psp U8yNSx Star Wars: Battlefront 3 (Wii) swbfront3wii ILAvd9 They apparently have server data or something for SWBF3. Doesn't really mean anything but I found it interesting nonetheless.

| Well, although it is a cancelled game, they planned on to release it, that's why they still have those data. It could be that they have those for the Galaxy in Turmoil (pretty interesting in my opinion) | |

| Nah, I doubt it. Galaxy in Turmoil won't be released on anything but PC but there's more consoles listed there.
Anyway, good news! Elite Squadron support has been added! It only works with the German DNS but I managed to find a server and join it using my second PSP. :D
So does anyone else wants to join me and play ES someday? But just be aware that creating a Gamemaster account on ES might be buggy. I don't even know if you can even create one using ES. I know I created the account "DylanRocket" using SWBF2. Still, it's worth a try! I also synced up the account info with my old Gamespy account info so that I wouldn't need to change it on ES. :)

| 60FPS? I think you might have misunderstood me, this method only works with a real PSP or JPCSP.... PPSSPP doesn't support infrastructure.
But that's actually why I like this method, I'd rather play on a real PSP than on emulator.

| Um what? PPSSPP does allow infrastructure, it's just VERYVERYVERY iffy with ES, most of the time it doesn't work, but if you keep rebooting PPSSPP, it will work eventually. And what DNS settings do I edit? The PSP DNS? | |

| Hmm, okay. It always leads me to a black screen when I attempt it though.
When you set up the network settings, you have to change the primary DNS to one of either Gamemaster DNS. Leave the secondary one as 0.0.0.0

| Hmm... well one of the admins mentioned yesterday that the servers are down but I don't know if they're back online now or not. I can't check right now because I got a new Wifi Router yesterday and I don't feel like changing the settings and setting up all of my devices to connect to the Wifi right now.
However, this method does work as I tested it myself with 2 PSPs.

"GameShare ITS TIME TO SAY GOODBYE Sorry. I don't have the time to keep the old services up and running. GameMaster will shutdown on 01.06.2016. Best wishes for the future of our lovely old games... I'll be back some time with something great again..."
I give up. | |

| Yeah but I don't know anyone's who actually gonna do anything with the source. I mean, there's some people who are thinking of using it for SWBF1/SWBF2 but I'd doubt they're gonna get the PSP games online at all. | |

| Well, we *could* try. Most of the work is done, right? Some stuff is just VS.NET or C# binaries that we probably could just run. We don't need to do anything game-specific, right? Just GameSpy? | |

| I'm not too knowledgeable with this kind of stuff but I believe most game's don't require game-specific stuff. You'd also have the make whatever domain you decide to use be the same amount of characters as gamespy.com | |

I guess g.gs2012.xyz works
I do own the gs2012.xyz domain...

| Would you know how to set something like this up?
In addition, I believe you might need to search a decrypted ES eboot (I can provide this) for the game spy strings to setup the additional domains/sub-domains (is that what they're called?). I have no idea how this all works but I'm assuming you might to do that. IE: %s.available.gamespy.com --> %s.available.g.gs2012.xyz
Also the PSP games require their own DNS to function online. You could try to contact Kalle/Gamemaster and ask him how to set it up for PSP.
Overall this seems like a lot of work for something we'd probably rarely play anyway. But as long as it doesn't cost you any extra money, it might be worth a try. I dunno.

I've never done something like this before, and I'd probably need a master server... I don't own any dedicated servers or VPS, so... But I wonder how hard this would be. Most of the work has already been done by the people who made gamemaster...
